Tall does not begin as the boy who leaves first.
He begins as Ray’s friend, the boy who draws visions, watches, worries, and feels too much. But in Doamanse, feeling deeply can become power.
Tall is a caller with the mind of a seer. His compassion forms bonds — and those bonds may save him, wound him, or consume him.

Tall is from Third Village, Nahterh’n: Ray’s closest friend, son of Dent and Marta, an artist, and a boy who wants to be a seer before he understands what he truly is.
